State Sales Manager – Liquid Transportation

Our client is a dynamic company that oversees a diverse range of businesses spanning from packaging solutions for the transport and storage of bulk non-hazardous liquids.

The State Sales Manager for Moorabin, VIC will be fully accountable for the management and leadership of sales operations, profitability and business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution and development of key corporate initiatives to increase sales and customer loyalty whilst managing and directing the sales team to ensure the business is attracting and retaining a high performing – fast growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the perfect customer experience for all existing and future customers
  • The efficient day to day running of the transportation operations with specific focus on safety, customer delivery windows and achieving maximum efficiency
  • The effective rostering of transportation resources to deliver the most productive outcomes, while meeting or exceeding customer service benchmarks
  • Assist with the facilitation of repair and maintenance of fleet equipment and infrastructure
  • Actively foster a cooperative customer relationship through regular contact
  • Ensure all site personnel are trained and competent to perform task/s and that records of those competencies are well maintained and up to date
  • Recognise and reward safe behavior
  • Meet weekly safety and compliance KPI targets

Essential skills and experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales
  • Experience in the transport industry with exposure to dangerous goods, bulk liquids, or bulk dry goods is desirable
  • Experience in planning and implementing KPI’s
  • Experience customer relationship management skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent written – verbal and presentation skills
  • Dedicated to achieving sales
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Able to sell high end-product
  • Excellent commercial acumen
