Head of Growth Marketing

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Head of Growth Marketing, you’ll be focussed on building out our digital marketing capability and
developing exciting, new and innovative propositions for residential customers. We have a
wealth of experience but you’ll be expected to help define the strategy and approach to ensure it’s relevant for the Australian market. We’ll be expecting you to help define a go to market strategy for new propositions around electric vehicles, in home storage (batteries) and other smart home related products and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be expected to:
▪ Have overall accountability for expanding our digital marketing capability;
▪ Work with internal stakeholders and external agencies to define the long term digital marketing
strategy – and then executing against it;
▪ Engage with internal and external stakeholders to help develop and refine the growth strategy
over the short, medium and long term;
▪ Collaborate to support and execute the overall digital marketing strategy and business
objectives
▪ Deliver effective and efficient digital marketing campaigns via ppc, display and social;
▪ Test new and more innovative channels to target those more niche audiences – with early
adopter technologies;
▪ Work closely with the design and product teams, to ensure a consistent and coherent customer
journey – from acquisition, to onboarding, to in life;
▪ Work closely with the design, product and software teams to create engaging content and
landing pages for existing propositions;
▪ Appropriately communicate sales performance to internal stakeholders;
▪ Liaise with some members of the team to utilise their knowledge and experience to
help better inform marketing decisions;
▪ Help to develop exciting and innovative propositions to test in the Australian energy market –
including, but not limited to, propositions associated with electric vehicles, in home storage
(batteries) and smart home devices; and,
▪ Use both qualitative and quantitative customer insights to help better prioritise work for
yourself and the team.
▪ Creating specific digital marketing campaigns and promotions to generate new customer
contacts and additional opportunities for conversion.
▪ Social Media aspect with group pitches
▪ Manage digital media budgets and attend KPIs, customer and digital interaction targets are met
▪ Manage the preparation and execution of the marketing calendar for multiple regions across
Australia.
▪ Collaborate to support and execute the overall digital marketing strategy and business
objectives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

You’ll have:
▪ A degree in marketing, advertising or equivalent;
▪ At least 5 years experience in digital marketing roles;
▪ Extensive marketing experience with demonstrable results across multiple campaigns;
▪ Specialist experience in SEO, PPC, Facebook Ads (and other social platforms) and Content
Marketing;
▪ Experience in a similar role with management of digital technology functions; and,
▪ Excellent stakeholder management.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
You’ll also ideally have / be:
▪ Driven – you’ll be proactive and action-oriented;
▪ Able to conduct analysis of complex data, translating results into actionable deliverables;
▪ Experience of having worked in a startup is a plus;
▪ Strong verbal and written communications skills; and,
▪ Ability to work effectively across internal and external organisations
