About the Role

Our Client seeking a confident and experienced Audit Manager to join their accounting practice, located in Mitcham and service all of the South East and beyond. The role of Audit Manager will contribute to the success of the client and through conducting audits ensuring successful completion.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting audits of a variety of unlisted entities, including NFP’s, RSL’s, and SME’s for clients with turnovers up to $80m
  • Conduct all aspects of the audit function from planning through to reporting to partners, including managing and performing audits
  • Review financial statements provided from clients for compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, both GPFS & SPFS
  • Assist with developing the firm’s knowledge of auditing, income tax, superannuation, financial reporting and other related taxes and duties as may be required
  • Undertaking business development opportunities
  • Fostering and maintaining client relationships
  • Management of internal stakeholders, including leaders, supervision and delegation

Qualifications

  • Experience in a professional audit environment (external ideal), and be CPA or CA qualified
  • Demonstrate excellent understanding of audit techniques and methods
  • Knowledge and understanding of all relevant Australian legislation and Accounting Standards
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with a variety of software including MYOB, Xero, Reckon, Hr3, SAP
  • Proficient in Excel and the full Microsoft Package
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to foster client relationships
  • Proactive and confident approach to working
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Deliver on time management and organisational skills
